About the event
Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic and invigorating yoga class that synchronizes movement with breath.
In this class, you will flow through a series of creative sequences, seamlessly transitioning from one pose to another. Each movement is linked to the breath, enhancing flexibility, strength, and body awareness. Vinyasa Flow offers an opportunity to explore various yoga poses and encourages you to find your own rhythm and expression within the practice. This class is a space dedicated to folx that identify as Black Men. The Black Folks Wellness Collective is dedicated to creating an accessible space for Black folks to build and sustain yoga, meditative, and healing practices. We believe that yoga and other wellness practices can be transformative. We’re here to ensure that Black people have access to the benefits of wellness and healing in a supportive and empowering environment. Our mission is to build a community that gives permission to be and become our full selves.
In collaboration with BeGreatDC, includes eight community classes meant to share various forms of yoga, meditation, and healing techniques and strategies. We offer classes for Black folks with specific offerings for Black Women, Black Men, and Black Young folk aged 12-18. All of our programs are beginner friendly, empowering students to build a personal practice that suits them.
