The seeds of this extraordinary community were sown by our founder, Rachael Payton, a DMV native and the daughter of parents raised in Chicago and Detroit as a result of the Great Migration. Rachael’s vision was fueled by a deep passion for service and a keen understanding of the unmet needs in our community.

 

It all began in 2018, a time when Rachael Payton recognized the gaps in wellness, education, and community support within our vibrant city. Driven by a commitment to address these needs, Rachael embarked on a journey to create an organization that would not only bridge these gaps but also inspire a culture of compassion and service.
