About the event
BeGreatDC is recruiting for members! We're looking for community servants and volunteers who want to help us make an impact in DC under our three pillars:
Community Engagement
Youth & Education
Health & Wellness
Some of our events include our Annual Volunteer Fair, Black Men Yoga Too, Working Women Wednesday, Laptop Drive and various pop-up drives.
During the first wave of the pandemic, we raised more than $1,400 to donate to N Street Village Women's Shelter for COVID-relief, and we collected and passed out more than $1,000 worth of supplies for protestors during the marches after George Floyd's murder. For the second year in a row, we've raised over $7,500 to purchase laptops and hot spots for students at Ballou High School in Ward 8.
